At Barnes & Noble science is all fun and games
When it comes to science and learning, it’s ok to fool around, according to Barnes & Noble. The nation’s largest retail bookseller and the provider of digital content and educational products is launching a one-of-kind Educational Toys and Games Science Center in select stores nationwide and online.
The center will feature a wide selection of educational science-focused toys and games designed to help kids learn and discover. The idea is to promote the development of scientific thinking in children by providing them with the right tools to predict, observe, classify, hypothesize, experiment and communicate their findings.
The assortment of tools includes some of the best scientific educational toy brands including Thames & Kosmos, Educational Insights, Scientific Explorer and Elenco, which are all dedicated to helping children broad spectrum of ages (K-8th) make their own scientific breakthroughs.
“At Barnes & Noble, we know that children have an innate ability to observe and question as they explore the world around them, and that is why we have created a science resource center aimed at providing them with a variety of materials to encourage experimentation, scientific thinking and advanced subject specific learning, in fun and engaging ways,” said Kathleen Campisano, vp, toys and games. “We are so pleased to be able to offer the leading selection of educational toys and games, and we are proud to have our pulse on what is at the heart of educational initiatives.”
Customers are invited to experience the products that the Barnes & Noble Educational Toys and Games Science Center has to offer at select Barnes & Noble stores nationwide and online at www.bn.com/science-center.
