Barnes & Noble adds new online store locator

New York City Barnes & Noble is now using a MapQuest platform to power its “Stores & Events” locator online and on store-level Web-based kiosks.

Armed with the MapQuest Platform: Enterprise Edition, from Denver-based MapQuest, a division of AOL, the chain can build advanced mapping capabilities needed to increase operational efficiency and improve revenue. Specifically, the software is powering Barnes & Noble’s Web site’s Stores & Events locator page, enabling shoppers to find stores, events and events by author. The software also lets users save favorite stores to their “My B&N” profile.
