Banana Republic helps preserve urban spaces
NEW YORK Banana Republic is celebrating Earth Week from April 22 to April 27 by donating 1% of all in-store and online sales, up to $100,000, to The Trust for Public Land nonprofit organization to support their efforts in preserving urban spaces.
Customers are also invited to participate in Earth Week by volunteering alongside Banana Republic employees in New York and San Francisco to help restore parks and urban spaces in those cities. Customers can also donate directly to The Trust for Public Land.
“Banana Republic is dedicated to reducing our environmental impact - and we think this is a solid first step,” said Banana Republic president Jack Calhoun. “We’re strengthening our commitment to sustainability by promoting a cause that is authentic and relevant to our customers.”
