B & N selects Zinio for book preview service
SAN FRANCISCO Barnes & Noble.com is partnering with digital publishing platform Zinio for the launch of its new "See Inside" digital book preview feature, the company announced Monday.
According to the companies, the See Inside service allows Barnes & Noble.com visitors to browse books as they would in the store and includes features such as dual page viewing, high quality page resolution and natural page-turning capabilities.
"Zinio is widely recognized as the pioneer of digital magazines and books and has been a great partner through this effort. We look forward to working with them to help us scale the 'See Inside' feature," said Marie Toulantis, ceo of Barnes & Noble.com. "We selected Zinio's technology because its flexibility allows us to preserve the look and experience of reading a book, while increasing customer interactivity."
