ARTS to release mobile commerce guide for retailers
New York City The Association of Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), a division of the National Retail Federation, plans to release a “Mobile Blueprint” guide describing how retailers can connect to consumers through their mobile phones on July 1. The announcement was made by Richard Mader, executive director and chairman of ARTS, on Friday, during a presentation at the Aberdeen Group Retail Summit.
The guide will be available free of charge on nrf.com. It will include implementation strategies, as well as information on technology, mobile applications, payment, security, privacy and standards.
This is the first version of the document, which was developed by retailers, associations, vendors and others. A second version will be released in January.
