Zebra Technologies Corp., Vernon Hills, Ill., recently released the R110Xi, a high-frequency (HF) radiofrequency identification (RFID) tabletop printer/encoder. The newest version of Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s touchscreen point-of-sale system is gaining attention from a larger group of retail segments, especially convenience store operators. The company’s Passport Version 5 solution supports multiple credit-card and payment networks. The system also controls fuel dispensers made by both Dresser Wayne and Gilbarco. This new version of Passport can also interface with security cameras or cash acceptors integrated within retailers’ fueling islands.
