Called MicroStrategy Office, the solution enables business users to run, edit and format any MicroStrategy report directly within the 2007 Microsoft Office system applications, including Microsoft Office Word 2007, Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Revionics Inc., Sacramento, Calif., introduced RAPS Reporting, a new subscription-based category-management and online-reporting system for retailers. The new service will be offered in conjunction with the company’s Advanced Pricing System (RAPS). The original RAPS module monitors retailers’ sales and performance for every item at every store. Meanwhile, the new piece includes a dashboard that supports a series of reports with drill-down capability and e-mail alerts.

Extech Data Systems, Waltham, Mass., introduced the S3750THS Series battery-operated thermal printer for the retail industry. The unit, which features an upgraded 2.2-amp lithium battery, produces more receipts per charge, making it a good fit for line-busting applications.
The printer is MS-DOS and Windows compatible and features a state-of-the-art microprocessor. It runs on standard RS-232 Serial and IrDA wireless communications, and an integrated Bluetooth radio and 802.11 b/g are also communications options.
