NEXTLIFE PAVE-ING WAY FOR PLASTICS’ REUSE

DELRAY BEACH, FLA. —NextLife is producing consumer goods with plastics it has been collecting and reprocessing in partnership with retailers including Wal-Mart.

Initially, NextLife turned waste such as plastic grocery bags and packing materials into items such as pallets. Taking its program a step further, NextLife now produces recycled plastic EcoStep paver stones, which, at one-ninth the weight of conventional stone products, deliver an addition as they require less fuel to ship. NextLife can provide EcoSteps in a closed loop program: a retailer’s scrap returns to its stores as consumer products.
