Apple Rocks DVD Sales
Cuppertino, Calif. Apple announced that new movie releases are available to download from its iTunes store (www.itunes.com) the same day as the DVD is released.
Movies purchased at iTunes can be downloaded and viewed on a variety of media including Apple’s iPod and iPhone, as well as on any Mac, PC or widescreen TV with Apple TV.
New releases and existing titles are available from major and independent studios including 20th Century Fox, The Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Lionsgate, Image Entertainment and First Look Studios.
The cost of purchasing a movie via iTunes is $14.99 for new releases and most catalog titles are priced $9.99.
