NEW YORK A&P has featured international food as a key element in its urban-oriented Food Emporium stores, and, on May 15, hosted Austria’s Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management for Josef Proll at a ribbon cutting unveiling a promotional Austrian food section at the banner’s flagship BridgeMarket store in Manhattan.
The “Taste of Nature” promotion was developed to capture Austria’s heritage as a producer of world-renowned cuisine, a cuisine that makes especially concentrates on pure, all-natural ingredients. Among the delicacies highlighted at The Food Emporium as part of the promotion are some of Austria’s most traditional foods, including Styrian Pumpkin seed spreads and oils, Staud’s famous preserves, Lustenauer Mustards, aromatic natural cheeses and elegant chocolates.
