A&P highlights Kosher offerings for Passover holiday
MONTVALE, N.J. — Grocer A&P has kicked off a new initiative to expand its Kosher product offerings in time for the Passover holiday season.
From now through April 28, Passover shoppers at select A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum's and Food Emporium stores serving Jewish communities throughout the tri-state area will find new and improved Kosher grocery selections, the retailer stated. Enhanced offerings include Kosher prepared foods and deli meats.
A&P also launched a new kosher meat program, featuring chopped chuck, first cut premium brisket and Empire chicken. Various stores also will offer an extensive assortment of grocery items in shopper-friendly displays ranging from such staples as matzos, macaroons, Kadeem grape juice and Tabachnick soup to Matzo ball mix and Joyva candy.
Following Passover, A&P will continue to expand the variety of its Kosher offerings throughout the year to include more meat, poultry, deli, dairy and baked goods.
The move is part of A&P's recent efforts to ramp up its commitment to a new and improved Kosher selection. Such efforts include hiring Barry Eizik to fill the newly created role of Kosher category manager, receiving certification from KOF-K Kosher supervision for the sale of all chometz products supplied by A&P's primary distributor and conducting special advertising and promotional campaigns.
