A&P brings a Fresh concept to New Jersey

PARK RIDGE, N.J. A&P today opened a new prototype store in Park Ridge, N.J. The remodeled store opened under the new A&P Fresh market banner, and is different from the conventional supermarket, the company said.

The Park Ridge A&P Fresh market features a stylized A&P logo on its exterior, as well as new lighting and display fixtures inside the store. The store also includes a number of shops for a variety of specialty foods including artisan breads, tea and coffee, cheese and seafood. The shops total 17 in number and are  configured in "walking street" style, A&P reported.

In addition to the specialty food shops, A&P said the Park Ridge store will include a number of fresh products found only at A&P banner stores. Items include Premium Gold Angues Beef and 1885 Brand Premium Pork.
