A&P and C&S Sign Agreement

Montvale, N.J. On Monday, the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P) and C&S Wholesale Grocers announced they had signed what they describe as an industry-leading agreement. The 10-year agreement combines their previously separate A&P and Pathmark supply agreements into one partnership.

The agreement restructures the terms of their relationship, aligning distribution operations, procurement practices and warehousing facility goals throughout A&P’s retail banners and significantly changes the way the two companies will worked together.

According to A&P, the agreement will result in increased efficiencies across A&P’s distribution network, improve service levels to all stores, and enable both companies to achieve cost savings.
