And now a message about merchandise execution
Matt Kistler is in a relatively new role at Walmart as SVP of merchandise execution and to explain what that means he is on the agenda for an upcoming event presented by Doing Business in Bentonville.
Kistler is scheduled to speak on February 8 at the DBB event which runs from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will be held at the John Q. Hammons Center. He is expected to provide an overview of Walmart’s merchandise services unit that was created last year.
He will explain what merchandise services is and the organization’s role at Walmart, how their efforts impact suppliers and what suppliers need to know to maximize the return on investment of promotional displays. In addition, Kistler will address the topic of how Walmart plans to improve store level execution in areas such as on shelf availability, Action Alley, features, modulars and PDQs.
As head of Walmart’s merchandise execution team, Kistler is responsible for the implementation of merchandise strategies at store level across all Walmart U.S. stores. His team ensures that Walmart’s merchandise programs are category expanding, locally relevant and effectively implemented throughout operations.
