Amy Coe previews Babies 'R' Us line in New York

NEW YORK Designer Amy Coe previewed her new fashion lines for Babies "R" Us to the press in New York, emphasizing that the line combines fashion and sharp prices for more style conscious parents and, eventually, kids.

The line features modern infant furniture, bedding sets, a bath collection, room decor, trendy diaper bags, plush, mealtime accessories, plus trend right layette and apparel for infants and toddlers. Taking aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends of the family in mind, Coe has incorporated gift giving into the line with, beyond plush, fun presents like piggy banks that can be used as bookends and baby books that can be accessorized with other elements such as folders as well as, in a partnership with American Greetings, a line of wrapping paper, gift bags and related items.

Coe told Retailing Today that the line helps create a fashion statement at Babies "R" Us that will enhance its position as a destination for layette and toddler goods. She expects to expand and update the line regularly.
