American Eagle to Launch New Concept

11/28/2007

Pittsburgh, American Eagle Outfitters Inc. plans to introduce a fourth store concept early next year, CEO Jim O'Donnell said on Tuesday during a conference call with investors.

O'Donnell gave no specifics about the new stores, which he referred to simply as "concept four," other than to say they "will not be some version" of American Eagle.

The company plans to spend $250 million to $275 million next year to open 135 new and 50 remodeled stores, primarily American Eagle and aerie locations.

He also said the company plans more international expansion, and will likely release details on that in the next few months.
