Allen to head Clear Thinking turnaround group

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. Brian Allen has joined Clear Thinking Group, a consulting firm that serves the retail industry as a managing director in the firm’s Turnaround Management/Financial Services Practice Group.

Allen, a Certified Public Accountant, brings over 17 years of corporate and public accounting experience, working with public and privately held retail and manufacturing companies. He will be responsible for advising the firm’s clients on turnaround and financial restructuring initiatives and will also manage Clear Thinking Group soon-to-open West Coast office.

Before launching his consulting firm in 2006, Allen spent over eight years as corporate controller at Wilsonville, Ore.-based retailer G.I. Joe’s, (now known as Joe’s Sports & Outdoor), which today operates 30 big-box stores throughout the Pacific Northwest.
