All you can eat protection plans a holiday treat

Asurion Retail Solutions has introduced an unlimited device protection plan to help retailers build stronger, more connected relationships with small businesses and consumers.

The new initiative is a first-to-retail product innovation, according to Asurion, that allows retailers to serve as a single-source destination for customers’ protection coverage needs across an unlimited number of devices purchased from any retailer.

Through the multiple device protection plan, retailers can help their customers protect all of their eligible devices for a monthly subscription fee. Eligible devices can include new or existing laptops, tablets, printers, routers, external hard drives and electronic items. In addition, products can be purchased from any retailer, providing shoppers a true one-stop protection solution for all of their office products regardless of where they were purchased, according to Asurion.

“We’re pleased to introduce our new unlimited device protection plans to help retailers provide greater value-add service and deepen their engagement with small businesses and shoppers,” said Rob DiRocco, senior vice president, Asurion Retail Solutions. “Our new plans allow retailers to provide peace-of-mind to their shoppers knowing that all their critical equipment will be repaired or replaced quickly and easily so they can get back to business.”

For example, the unlimited device protection plans by Asurion provide protection from failures due to accidental damage from handling such as cracked screens, drops and spills for select eligible devices; mechanical and electrical issues; failures due to normal wear-and tear and power surges; plus breakdowns due to internal heat, dust and humidity. Repairs are designed to be hassle-free, requiring the filing of a claim and any applicable service fee, with no additional charges for shipping, parts or repair fees.
