Albertsons to Shutter Four Stores in Arizona

Phoenix Albertsons is closing four of its 51 stores in Arizona, according to The Arizona Republic. Two of the stores are located in Phoenix, while the other two are in the towns of Ahwatukee and Gilbert.

"The stores have been identified as not profitable for several years. Despite the better efforts of our associates and the company, we have not been able to reposition them to compete in the marketplace," said Albertsons' spokeswoman Christine Wilcox.
