Albertson's to lay off 5,000+ Fla. workers

TAMPA BAY, Fla. Grocery store chain Albertson's will lay off more than 5,000 workers in Florida, the company announced Wednesday.

Those laid off will include 121 workers at an Albertson'ss distribution center in Plant City, Fla., and more than 5,000 at 49 of its stores throughout the state, which it is selling to Publix Super Markets.
