A&F reports 3Q profit
NEW YORK Abercrombie & Fitch on Wednesday reported a higher quarterly profit for its third quarter, ended Nov. 3, with a net income of $117.6 million, or $1.29 per share, compared to $102 million, or $1.11 per share, a year earlier.
The company said total quarterly sales rose 13% to $973.9 million, while comparable-store sales increased 1%.
Comparable-store sales at the Abercrombie & Fitch chain rose 3%, but fell 1% at the company's Hollister chain and 7% at its RUEHL stores.
