A&F in Anti-Counterfeiting Raids

New Albany, Ohio Abercrombie & Fitch announced on Tuesday that the company has embarked on a series of search-and-seizure efforts throughout Ireland, as part of its global anti-counterfeiting initiative.

During the last few months, the company said numerous raids have been conducted, including several within Dublin. The retailer indicated that shops across the Irish capital will receive cease-and-desist letters notifying owners they are selling fakes illegally.

Abercrombie & Fitch's anti-counterfeiting program is focused on eliminating the supply of illicit Abercrombie & Fitch products in the United States, Europe and the Far East.

In addition to Ireland, Abercrombie & Fitch said it will continue to coordinate efforts with law enforcement and government officials to carry out raids in the United States, Canada, China, Thailand and throughout Europe, resulting in the seizure thus far of over 1 million units of counterfeit product.
