Aeropostale CEO steps down
NEW YORK, N.Y. Aeropostale announced that Julian Geiger is ending his service as CEO at approximately the end of the company's current fiscal year. Geiger has served as Aeropostale's CEO since 1996. Geiger will continue to serve as chairman of the company's BOD.
As a result of Geiger's announcement, Aeropostale's BOD has designated Mindy Meads and Thomas Johnson as co-CEOs of the company commencing on the effective date of Geiger's election. The board also designated effective on the same date, Michael Cunningham as president and CFO.
Meads has served as president and chief merchandising officer of Aeropostale since March 2007.
Johnson has served as EVP and COO of Aeropostale since March 2004. From 2001 to 2004, Johnson was SVP and director of stores at Aeropostale. Johnson has also held a wide variety of senior executive positions at Aeropostale.
Cunningham has served as EVP and CFO of Aeropostale since March 2004. From 2000 to 2004, he was SVP and CFO.
