Advance Auto Parts names supply chain svp

ROANOKE, Va. Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, batteries, accessories, and maintenance items, announced that Chas Scheiderer has joined the company as senior vp of supply chain. Scheiderer will be responsible for Advance’s supply chain including all Distribution Centers and PDQs, as well as inbound and outbound transportation. Scheiderer will report to Kevin Freeland, evp of supply chain and Information Technology.

“Chas brings world-class supply chain and logistics experience, which will help us accelerate our Availability Excellence initiative,” said Freeland.

Scheiderer most recently served as senior vp of logistics for Optimal Advantage, a boutique retail consulting firm. Prior to that, he served as senior vp of logistics for Best Buy.
