Advance Auto Buys 19 Boston-Area Stores

Roanoke, Va., Advance Auto Parts Inc. acquired the auto parts division of Lappen Auto Supply Co., a 19-store auto parts chain in the Boston market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Advance plans to convert the newly purchased locations to its “2010” format over the coming months. Lappen will keep its garage equipment business, which services Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
