Acme ends home-delivery offer

Malvern, Pa. Acme Markets said Monday it will no longer offer home delivery of groceries.

Instead, the supermarket chain will expand its pickup option, allowing customers to order online and pick up groceries at 40 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The pickup service will start May 25 in New Jersey and Delaware and on June 1 in Pennsylvania.

Acme Markets has 126 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. It is owned by Supervalu.
