Ace Hardware names new IT chief

Ace Hardware Corp. has promoted a 25-year employee to the position of vice president of information technology.

The company says Rick Williams, 49, will play an integral role in further driving strategic technology and systems management for Ace to shape business functions and deliver significant return on investments.

“Rick has been a loyal Ace employee for more than 25 years and is incredibly well-respected within the Ace Hardware organization,” said Bill Guzik, EVP/CFO, Ace Hardware Corp. “Rick knows our people and knows our business; these qualities are paramount to the success of our growing IT and business endeavors."



Williams joined Ace Hardware in 1988 as a software developer within IT. He worked within the retail division of IT for more than 15 years and has worked with and supported every department at Ace over his career. He has held various positions within the organization, including director of software engineering and most recently, senior director of IT business systems.

WilliamAce Hardware has more than 4,800 stores locally owned and operated across the globe.
