Ace Hardware and Activant Solutions extend partnership

Livermore, Calif. Activant Solutions announced a three-year agreement with Ace Hardware Corp., the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry, whereby Activant will remain Ace's only recommended point-of-sale solution and Activant will continue to provide technology solutions that enable Ace's best practices operating methods.

Ace Hardware and Activant Solutions originally collaborated in 2000 to provide a fully integrated technology solution to Ace's 4,600 hardware, home center and building material stores. Prior to signing the new agreement, Ace evaluated alternative solutions and ultimately decided the agreement with Activant was in the best interest of its retail owners.
