Espadrilles are the perfect complement to spring and summer’s sundresses. Wal-Mart offers two different espadrille styles from its No Boundaries brand, including a white eyelet open-toed shoe and an embellished pair with beading and sequins, as well as a grosgrain strap that connects the front and the back of the shoes. Both are priced just under $20.
Payless sells polka dot espadrille slides, which come in navy blue or yellow, for $19.99, as well as canvas espadrilles with floral print and a ribbon that wraps around the ankle for $19.99.
Piperlime, Gap’s online shoe e-tailing Web site, sells a few close-toed pairs of espadrilles for a more conservative, buttoned-up look. For example, the site sells a pair from Franco Sarto for $85, which features a three-inch jute-wrapped heel and an ankle strap with a buckle closure. The pair comes in black, pink, blue and green. For those with less height ambition, Piperlime offers espadrilles from comfort brands such as Aerosoles and Naturalizer, with smaller wedges of just about 2 inches. Prices for those run from about $50 to $70.
