As more people use storage in task-specific respects, products are taking on more attractive appearances. The youth market is inspiring innovation and is causing companies to lean towards more decor-oriented storage.
Zeke Abraham, vp of Vipac, parent of Closet Complete, is mulling over licenses that will make the company’s storage closet more decor-oriented.
Of course, a storage company requires some proof before it makes the commitment to pay for, say, an NBA license, which can be costly, but Closet Complete seems to be on that track. The success it has had with the Dummies line of storage products has prompted the company to think about other license opportunities.
“We’ve seen a lot of success at branding with the Dummies brand, so [we are] also looking at other licensed brands applicable for the juvenile markets,” Abraham said.
The Dummies line provides tips that help unburden consumers from their organizational headaches. Closet Complete recently developed Hanging Gift Wrap Organizer for Dummies, Large Ornament Chest for Dummies and Bedside Organizer for Dummies, all of which include guides intended to help consumers with storage challenges.
