Hollander Home Fashions wants to make it easier for consumers to choose hypoallergenic bedding, which the company has added to its product range. Hollander has received an Asthma Friendly certification mark by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America on eight pillow SKUs and four mattress pad SKUs, and, in doing so, is providing a product that will provide comfort and relief even through 50 washings.

Jeff Hollander, ceo of Hollander Home Fashions, said all certified products are tested only after multiple washings to ensure that they will hold up under real-life conditions. Products that claim asthma and allergy relief have been on the market, he noted, but they don’t necessarily live up to their billing either falling short on their comfort or failing to live up to asthma relief claims. AAFA’s involvement ensures Hollander products will consistently live up to an effective standard, Hollander said, and the company is committed to providing the rest.

“We’ve created a product line that will meet the needs of the 60 million Americans who suffer from asthma and allergies and give them comfort they deserve,” he said.

Product cost and suggested retail price are at a 10% premium to comparable products and a down alternative comforter is in development.
