ABF carries home shipping award, again

4/30/2014

The ABF Freight division of Arkansas Best Corporation was named a “Carrier of the Year,” for the second consecutive year by a leading supply chain organization.

The Fort Smith, Ark.-based company received the National LTL Carrier of the Year Award from the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC). ABF also won the award in 2013, 2011 and 2010.

“In receiving this award we acknowledge the ABF Freight professionals who have not only persevered through adverse market conditions but also have continued to uphold the highest standards of professional integrity and operational excellence,” said ABF Freight president and CEO Roy Slagle. “We also want to recognize NASSTRAC and all the shippers who nominated ABF Freight to receive this prestigious award. They are true professionals that positively shape the industry’s landscape by serving as a powerful voice speaking on behalf of both carriers and shippers, and it is their participation that makes this award meaningful.”

The awards are determined by regular members of NASSTRAC who are qualified buyers of transportation services who grade all carriers on customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship, leadership and technology. The awards program is co-sponsored by Logistics Management, a leading trade magazine for buyers of logistics services.
