99 Cents Only sees increase in 4Q income

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif. 99 Cents Only reported that net consolidated sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 were $329.2 million, a 13.3% increase compared to net sales of $290.5 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008. Same-store sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 increased 6.2% versus the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.

Net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 increased to $7 million, or 10 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $4.4 million, or (6 cents) per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.
