200 Walgreens Pharmacists Resign From Union

7/8/2005

Deerfield, Ill., Nearly 20%, or more than 200, of Walgreens Chicago-area staff pharmacists have opted to resign from the union and are continuing to work despite the strike called by union leadership July 6 at 10:00 p.m.

According to company spokesman Michael Polzin, “The large number of pharmacists who have already resigned from their union reflects an alarming disconnect between union leadership and our in-store pharmacies.”
