11 Main debuts mobile app
San Mateo, Calif.-– 11 Main Inc., the U.S. online shopping platform operated by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Inc., has launched a mobile app optimized for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android, with an iPad version coming later in the year. The mobile applications are optimized for each platform and offer 11 Main’s online shopping experience.
The apps also accept the Apple Pay digital payment service. The mobile interface displays visuals much like a catalog, offering shoppers an experience similar to browsing a digital magazine. Shoppers can view shop windows, and video tiles are also incorporated into the category landing pages, providing shoppers with additional information on individual shops. The fully featured mobile shopping applications include a multi-item and multi-shop shopping cart and also provide seamless integration across all devices with a shopper’s online account.
“At 11 Main, we work hand-in-hand with small business owners to help their businesses grow,” said Mike Effle, president and general manager, 11 Main. “Shoppers are increasingly turning to mobile applications to discover new shops and products. By providing consumers with a great mobile shopping experience on multiple platforms, we’re able to help our shop owners reach today’s mobile shopper in ways that were previously beyond their resources. We’re extremely excited to help shoppers discover and support the growing number of amazing shops and boutiques who are building their brands at 11 Main.”
