New marketing director named at North Florida’s largest shopping center

Ashley Bryant will lead marketing efforts at Butler Enterprises in Gainesville.

Ashley Bryant grew up in Gainesville, graduated from the University of Florida in that North Florida town, and will now take over the marketing of its largest retail center.

Bryant is the new director of marketing at Butler Enterprises, owner-operator of Butler Plaza, Butler North, and Butler Town Center. The three retail enclaves cover 267 acres of Gainesville with 150 stores and restaurants that include Walmart, Lowes, The Cheesesteak Factory, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Its wide-ranging grocery lineup features Aldi, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and two Publix supermarkets.

“I am honored to be part of an incredible legacy. Butler Enterprises has been a staple of my community,” said Bryant. “The caliber of tenants and the localization of entrepreneurship is incredible.”

Over the last 20-plus years, Ashley has held marketing, communications, and business development positions at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and the Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention

Bryant is an active board chairwoman of AMIKids Gainesville and has served as VP at Large for the University of Florida Association of Black Alumni for the Gainesville Chapter.
