McDonald’s plans to go slow in re-opening dining areas

4/21/2020

Despite the fact that some states are planning to open up restaurant dining rooms, McDonald’s United States president Joe Erlinger said his company will move slowly in returning to business as usual.

The Wall Street Journal reported that, even after it welcomes back customers into its stores, McDonald’s intends to continue to enforce social distancing.

“We are going to move slowly and judiciously on this one,” Erlinger said.

Atlanta-based franchisee Vicki Chancellor, chair of the McDonald’s Operators National Advertising Committee, said franchisees will work with McDonald’s and local authorities to create re-opening policies.
