Kohl’s in exclusive brands push

Kohl’s is partnering with two of the most popular stars on cable television.

The retailer has entered into a deal with the Scott brothers, the stars of HGTV’s “Property Brothers,” to launch a home lifestyle collection, called Scott Living, that will be available at Kohl’s for fall 2019, both in stores and online. The line will feature modern home basics, including furniture, décor, bedding and bath, and more.

“Home has been an incredibly strong category for Kohl’s and we know our customers will love the Scott Living collection,” said Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer. “The addition of Scott Living reinforces our continued strategy to drive a constant pipeline of relevant new brands.”

In addition to the new home collection, Kohl’s is enhancing its women’s plus-size shopping experience with a redesigned in-store layout and a new brand. EVRI, which stands for easy, versatile and real (value), will make its debut in spring 2019. The collection will feature a deep assortment of modern wardrobe essentials that take into account both shape and height. Tops will run in sizes from 0X to 4X, and bottoms will run from 14W to 30W.

Speaking of the new plus brand and updated space, Howe said, “We’ve seen an opportunity to better meet the needs of our customers are focused on providing the products and experiences she expects.”

In addition, Kohl’s will roll out Nike Plus in spring, which will feature active merchandise for the entire family.
