Kroger, DoorDash grow partnership to nearly 2,700 stores
Kroger is expanding its partnership with a leading delivery service.
The Ohio-based grocer and DoorDash have announced an expansion of their relationship to bring Kroger’s full grocery assortment, including fresh food, exclusive private label products, and everyday essentials to customers. Beginning Oct. 1, customers can shop Kroger’s full grocery assortment, ranging from fresh foods to household staples, from nearly 2,700 stores on DoorDash.
Along with fast delivery, DoorDash users will be able to enjoy Kroger deals and loyalty program discounts seamlessly integrated into the app.

“With Kroger now on DoorDash nationwide, millions of customers can shop the largest grocer on our platform with the convenience of on-demand delivery,” said Prabir Adarkar, president and chief operating officer of DoorDash. “This expansion brings customers access to Kroger’s full assortment across fresh food, household essentials, and its popular private label brands, all at affordable prices and deals they already know and trust. It’s a milestone that reflects our shared commitment to giving households more choice, value, and convenience in how they shop for groceries.”
Kroger’s partnership with DoorDash is just the latest in its expansive delivery efforts. In February, the grocer teamed up with Instacart for its new Express Delivery service, allowing customers to shop directly from the Kroger website and digital app, receiving the same prices, savings and rewards found in-store.
In addition, Kroger has a massive in-house delivery program, which it introduced in 2018 in partnership with U.K.-based online grocer Ocado Group.
“Customers are looking for more convenient ways to shop at their local Kroger store, and delivery is an increasingly important way they engage with us,” said Yael Cosset, executive VP and chief digital officer for Kroger. “We want to provide customers what they want, how they want it, without asking them to compromise on value. Today marks another step in our journey to simplify customers’ lives. We are making it easier to shop in the way that best fits their day. And we are offering lower prices and more relevant offers to drive more traffic, which increases the data we use to power our retail media business.”
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kroger operates nearly 2,800 stores in 35 states across its Kroger Mariano’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, and Harris Teeter banners. It employs more than 400,000 employees.
Globally, DoorDash serves more than 42 million monthly active users. It launched on-demand grocery delivery in 2020.
