Seven real estate trade associations--one of them ICSC--have joined together to increase involvement of minority and women-owned businesses in the construction and equipment supply chain.

They have formed the CREDS Consortium (Commercial and Real Estate Diverse Supplier), which has launched a two-year pilot program with SupplierGateway, a supplier management software platform, to help their members identify, track, report, and engage with MBWEs.

Other members of CREDS are Crew Network, the Mortgage Bankers Association, NAIOP, Nareit, the National Multifamily Housing Council, and the Real Estate Roundtable.

“ICSC is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the marketplaces industry and giving our members ways to identify and source MWBEs is one way we can do this,” said ICSC CEO Tom McGee. “The CREDS Consortium offers our members direct access to the tools and resources they need to support their own DEI goals.”

ICSC members can subscribe to SupplierGateway software platform at a discounted price to connect with MWBE suppliers. They also will be able to post their purchase orders and other contracting opportunities through the CREDS ‘s portal.
