The 96,446-sq. ft. space At Home will occupy at Woodmore Town Centre is a tad smaller than its average footprint.

Heritage Partners has announced the lease of the entire 96,000-sq.-ft. former J.C. Penney site at its Woodmore Towne Centre in Glenarden, Maryland.

At Home’s 227 stores in 40 states are mostly 100,000 sq. ft. in size and stock 50,000-plus SKUs in an effort to use their space advantage to out-assort the competition. More than 75% of the products they sell are unbranded, private label, or specifically designed for At Home.

“As retail is experiencing dynamic shifts, we are pleased to fulfill the community’s desire for this excellent home decor superstore at Woodmore Town Centre,” said Terry Richardson, Heritage Partners CEO. “At Home is a high-quality retailer that will re-enliven the former J.C. Penney space.”

At Home plans to open this summer at Woodmore, whose other tenants include Costco, Old Navy, Wegman’s, Copper Canyon, Starbuck’s, and Chipotle.
