San Francisco? Check. Boston? Check. Honolulu? Check. Fifth Avenue? Check. Columbus?

Yes, one of the world’s leading luxury brands, Gucci, has opened its very first independent store in the state of Ohio and chosen an obvious location in which to make its debut—Chain Store Age’s choice as the No. 1 Retail Center Experience of 2021, Easton Town Center.

The 1,500-acre center envisioned two decades ago by retail legend Les Wexner on vacant land he owned in Columbus is now a shopping mecca encompassing more than 250 brands—among them Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Coach--and now Gucci.

Gucci’s 5,000-sq.-ft. store at Easton neighbors the aforementioned luxury brands and showcases a wide collection of men’s and women’s small leather goods, handbags, luggage, jewelry, watches, and eyewear.

Its look is luxe. Custom geometric painted wood floors layered with vintage oriental rugs are set with sumptuous chairs. Varnished, sage green wall finishes complement moss green velvets found in the store’s upholstery and fitting rooms.

Gucci’s maintains sections in Saks stores in both Cleveland and Columbus. The Easton location is its first exclusive store in Ohio.
