“Hands-free” footwear brand Kizik is expanding its physical presence by opening stores at two of America’s best-known malls.

Kizik has opened its second U.S. store, at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. The launch follows the April opening of the brand's pop-up in New York City. (Kizik opened its first store in June 2023, at Fashion Place Mall in Murray, Utah, close to the company’s headquarters in Lindon, Utah.)

Kizik’s 1,645-sq.-ft. Mall of America store was created in partnership with design firm MG2, which said the key design principle of the Kizik in-store experience is “getting the customer to ‘try on’ as early in the journey as possible.

“It’s critical that consumers experience the step-in technology Kizik is known for at the very beginning of the customer journey,” said MG2 principal Melissa Gonzalez. “It’s an AHA moment that captures and celebrates the magic of the brand.”

Visitors are welcomed at the entrance with a Kizik blue footprint that aims to draw shoppers into the store. Standout design elements include the store’s materiality: a mix of surfaces that include perforated metals, concrete, and textured paints with LED neon and vibrant blue. The “elevated, versatile” displays are meant to capture a sense of motion to create an environment that empowers visitors to discover and explore, according to MG2.

Following Mall of America, Kizik is set to debut a 1,812-sq.-ft. location at King of Prussia mall in King of Prussia, Pa. The store will open on June 14, and will bring the experiential design concept with MG2 to the Pennsylvania market.

The new stores will offer Kizik’s full assortment of men’s, women’s, and kids’ shoes in all sizes, as well as new styles launching throughout the year. Kizik-branded apparel, shoe care kits and no-slip socks will also be available to purchase on site.

“Mall of America and King of Prussia are iconic shopping destinations,” said Kizik CEO Monte Deere. “When we observed the incredible consumer reception of our first store in Fashion Place Mall last year, we knew it was important to us to open more physical retail locations as part of our long-term growth strategy. We are excited to provide additional points of entry in Mall of America and King of Prussia for new adopters to experience the magic of Kizik. The feeling people have when they first try on our shoes is not something that can be replicated online.”
