Walmart is weighing a new option for its British supermarket division after its proposed merger with Sainsbury’s was blocked in April by U.K. regulators.
Judith McKenna, Walmart International CEO, told Asda staff at its mid-year meeting Tuesday in England, that Walmart does not have “a one size fits all approach to operating its international markets,” reported
CNBC.“While we are not rushing into anything, I want you to know that we are seriously considering a path to an IPO — a public listing — to strengthen your long-term success,” McKenna said according to the report.
