The largest U.S. chain dedicated to recreational vehicles is still in growth mode.
Camping World Holdings said Tuesday that it will acquire Cooper’s RV Center. Residing in the greater Pittsburgh region, the company serves western Pennsylvania with a broad assortment of RVs, and built its brand on a high level of customer service, said Marcus Lemonis, chairman of Camping World Holdings.
“We look forward to upholding this tradition and providing their customers and the greater community with the added benefits that our national network of RV SuperCenters can provide,” he said. “With thousands of RV and outdoor-related products and services, Camping World can fulfill every need of the RV and outdoor enthusiast.”
Camping World currently operates RV dealerships in the Hanover and Harrisburg areas of Pennsylvania. With the acquisition of Cooper’s RV Center, Camping World plans to significantly expand its market footprint and presence in western Pennsylvania, the company reported.
Coopers RV Center is the latest Camping World acquisition. Over the last six months, the company has acquired certain assets of Gander Mountain, a retailer focused on hunting, fishing, camping, and outdoor gear; Overton’s, a retailer of boating and marine accessories, and TheHouse.com, an online retailer specializing in bikes, sailboards, skateboards, wakeboards, snowboards and outdoor gear.
Last week, the
company announced it will acquire Uncle Dan’s Outfitters, a specialty retailer of outdoor gear, apparel and camping supplies.
