Designer Brands' CFO to depart, interim named
A footwear parent company is on the hunt for a new finance chief.
Designer Brands Inc., whose portfolio includes DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, said that Jared Poff has decided to resign as executive VP, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer to pursue a new professional opportunity, effective Oct. 31. Mark Haley, the company's senior VP, controller and principal accounting officer, has been named interim principal financial officer, effective Nov. 1.
Poff spent more than 10 years at Designer Brands, joining the company in 2015 as CFO. In 2023, the role of chief administrative officer was added to his title.

Haley will work in close partnership with Poff as well as Designer Brands’ tenured financial and accounting leadership teams to ensure a seamless transition. The company is launching an executive search to identify a permanent CFO.
Haley was appointed to his previous position in January 2019, and had served as the VP and controller of the company since 2017. Before joining Designer Brands in 2017, Haley served as VP, chief accounting officer of furniture chain Conn's, Inc. from 2014 to 2017. From 2010 to 2014, he served as VP, corporate controller and chief accounting officer at women’s apparel and accessories retailer Coldwater Creek Inc.

Designer Brands operates more than 650 stores across its banners DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, The Shoe Co. and Rubino. Its brand portfolio includes Topo Athletic, Keds, Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson, Kelly & Katie, Lucky Brand, Mix No. 6 and Crown Vintage.
