Cullinan Properties names chief strategy officer
Cullinan Properties, developer of the 310-acre Rock Run Collection now under construction in Joliet, Ill., has hired a chief strategy officer.
She is Maria Pope Toliopoulos, a long-time retail real estate veteran who rose to senior VP of leasing during a 10-year stint at Retail Properties of America, overseeing a portfolio of more than 250 operating properties and managing national account relationships.
Earlier in her career, Toliopoulos was the VP of real estate strategy at Ulta Beauty, where she directed the strategic vision for new stores, lease renewals, program management, and real estate research across all U.S. territories.
She served as senior VP of real estate Ashley Global Retail before founding The Hyperion Group, a consulting firm focused on real estate and growth strategies.

Toliopoulos also holds a law degree from the University of Illinois’ Chicago School of Law. She will be based in Cullinan Properties’ Chicagoland office.
