Jamerika Ramsay has been named the winner of Crossman & Company’s Endowed Real Estate Scholarship for 2019.

The junior at Bethune-Cookman Unversity in Daytona Beach holds a 3.96 grade point average and plans to become an attorney, real estate investor, and entrepreneur.

Crossman & Company ranks as one of the largest third-party retail leasing and management firms with a portfolio of nearly 400 properties in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and the Carolinas. It offers similar scholarships to minority students at Florida State, Florida A&M, and the University of Central Florida.

“One of the best ways to improve the real estate marketplace is to encourage the participation of the best of the next generation,” Crossman said.

Crossman’s father, the Reverend Kenneth Crossman, was a noted civil rights activist who often invited African-American ministers to preach to his all-white congregations in the Seventies.
