A leading paint-your-own pottery franchise is expanding its footprint in one of the largest U.S. states.

Color Me Mine is set to debut new locations in Allen, Dallas, Sugar Land and College Station, Texas this year. The company recently opened new studios in San Antonio and Woodlands, which it says reflects the rising demand for unique arts and crafts entertainment across the country.

Color Me Mine, which was founded in Los Angeles in 1991, currently has seven open studios in Texas, with four additional locations in development. The company says it is targeting cities such as Lubbock, Tyler, Amarillo, Abilene and Waco as it looks to further expand in the Lone Star State.

"As Color Me Mine continues to grow throughout Texas, we're looking forward to providing even more communities with a place to unplug, unleash their creativity and enjoy quality time together," said Teresa Johnson, CEO of Color Me Mine. "We are thrilled to be partnering with dedicated franchisees who see the value of bringing 'The Art of Having Fun' to their neighborhoods, and introduce our unique pottery painting experience to new regions throughout the U.S."

Acquired by Twist Brands LLC in 2020, Color Me Mine provides guests with a pottery painting experience in a “welcoming, relaxing environment.” Guests can choose from hundreds of ceramic pieces to paint, and enjoy an hour or two of entertainment while spending time with friends and family and creating a unique piece of art. Ceramic pieces are then glazed, fired, and picked up later.

"Opening a Color Me Mine in my hometown in Texas is a dream come true because I want to bring a creative and fun space to our community," said Brandi Dotson, owner of Color Me Mine College Station, which is currently in development. "I believe that our area will benefit from having a place where people of all ages can come together, express themselves artistically and create lasting memories."

Color Me Mine operates more than 130 locations across the U.S., Canada, Costa Rica and the Philippines.
