Cleveland metro’s Crocker Park wins an Ikea store
“The wait is over,” was the first line on the Stark Enterprises news release jubilantly announcing that Ikea would soon be taking up residence in the company’s award-winning Crocker Park in Westlake, Ohio, west of Cleveland.
The Swedish retailing phenomenon will be occupying an 80,000-sq.-ft. space in the 4.5 million-sq.-ft. mixed-use development that was Chain Store Age’s No. 1 Retail Center Experience in 2025.
Needless to say, executives at Stark Enterprises are ecstatic over the planned arrival of one of the world’s most successful retail brands.
“We had a very short list of best-in-class retailers we believed could truly transform this key anchor,” said Stark’s executive VP of leasing Lidia Saluan Richani. “This is about more than activating a premier retail space; it's about creating a destination that will attract visitors from across the region.”
Stark Enterprises CEO Ezra Stark marks the Ikea signing as a defining moment not for just Cleveland, but also for shoppers from Akron, Canton, Toledo, Erie, and Youngstown with Ikea’s arrival.
"Bringing Ikea to Crocker Park has been years in the making," said Stark. “This announcement reflects years of strategic planning, strong partnerships, and our commitment to continually elevating Crocker Park with brands people truly want to experience.”
The wide variety of stores that populate the streets of Crocker Park include Apple, L.L.Bean, Macy’s Vera Bradley, Toys “R” Us, Arhaus and Nike. Its food and beverage lineup lists Chick-fil-A, Hangry Joe’s Nashville Hot Chicken and Wild Mango. Entertainment brands at the center include Urban Air, Sandbox VR and Color Me Mine.
Crocker Park drew 12 million visitors in 2025 — a number that is certain to increase following the opening of Ikea.
